I woke up around 8’ish, just because I kinda enjoy not sleeping through half of my weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I am the first guy to want to sleep all day but, like I said you can get so much more out of your day by waking up early.
I wasn’t able to get my usual early Saturday morning ride in because it was storming all day until it stop around 1pm.
It was a bit nice being able to lounge around and wake up slowly. What I can tell you is that I am not a morning person at all, you could probably compare how I am to a zombie only I don’t eat people. So it was kind of enjoyable.
I eventually did get to head out for 3 ½+hours. I had seen the weather report and it looked as though there would be a four hour break.
I didn’t want to take any chances so I stayed pretty close to the house which meant that I was only able to do laps around Longview lake.
It was pretty cold for the first half of my ride and the fact that it was misting on me didn’t help but by the end of my ride it looked as though the front had moved out and the sun was peeking out of the clouds to greet me.
Unfortunately that was at the end of my ride so I didn’t get much time with the sun today.
While I was riding back home I happened to notice a dead deer carcass on the side of the road.
It looked as though someone shot an RPG at it because there was mangled chunks of flesh thrown everywhere, it was pretty crazy. I think the worst part is that for the next year or so I get to smell a decaying deer on the side of a frequent road I ride, great!
I got back around 5:30pm and luckily chow was ready to go. I always enjoy it when right after you do your ride theres a meal ready for you, because regardless after a ride you’re typically hungry (or you should be).
Anyways, tomorrow is Worlds and I am totally stoked to see who will be in the rainbow stripes tomorrow, so you can bet I’ll be watching that first thing in the morning.
