During my ride I decided I would tackle the head wind today and road into it for about 75% of my ride. It was a tough move because by the end of the ride I was pretty beat and almost bonking.
Luckily I finished up and made it home just before the bonk set in. I probably should’ve ate a bigger breakfast but just had one of those mornings where I wasn’t that hungry.
Anyways, once I finished up I got cleaned up and headed out for lunch. Once I arrived and got seated I decided I would have a sweet tea to quench my thirst, I ended up drinking quite a few glasses, so much so that the guy started commenting that he was going to bring me a pitcher. I got a good laugh out of it but, truth be told I was just a smoldering fire that needed to refuel after a three hour ride.
After I ate and chatted for about three hours, we left the restaurant, but not empty handed, thanks to Jonathan hooking me up with a bunch of cycling magazines and the a couple of DVDs of 2013 Fleche Wallonne, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Paris-Roubaix, and the 2007 tour of California.
Which meant that when I got home I was definitely going to be watching Liege-Bastogne-Liege with my pops tonight!
