So today was kinda a bummer, I went to the bike shop today and got some help putting my bikes back together from traveling. After I got everything sorted out with my bikes and got some new bar tape and bottle cages, it was brought to my attention that something was wrong with my TT bike.
Once I got close to see what all the talk was about I saw one of the worst things a human being could see… A DENT IN MY BIKE!!!!
Yep, two dents and a bunch of deep scratches.
It occurred during the travel process when the demonized crew at Air Canada went crazy with my bike box.
Seriously how can they call themselves “the rated number one airline in North America” if this is how they treat their clients belongings. What a joke. The cases I had were top of the line bullet proof cases, so in order to cause such a big dent they clearly would of had to of been mistreating my bike.
Seriously, we are talking about jumping up and down on the blooming case.
The worst part was is that they charged an absurd amount in order to take your bikes and then they break them…..ridiculous. Thats what happens when you let morons handle something important.
Speaking of gouging, what a trip for it. I not only got screwed on my bike handling and had to pay double for my Subway sandwiches while in Canada, but United Airlines decided to charge me 3x the actual cost to fly my bikes. Thats right, $400.00 for a one way fee; “take it or leave it” was what the guy in Kansas City International United Check-in said to me.
From an expense point, this trip was the gouging of a lifetime.
Good news is that I can still ride it bad news is its got a freaking crator that will remind me of how I got screwed by Air Canada.
So that’s it, no more complaining, I’m on to bigger and better things.
